Flesh of my Flesh

Mon, 03/28/2016 - 02:52 -- mselzer

Skin on skin

As the morning comes

We were out too late

We don’t mind

Being tired the next day

Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone

We are no longer alone

Flesh on flesh

Next to you I’m home

I feel warm and whole

Like you were made

The other half of my soul

Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone

We are no longer alone

Mouth on mouth

Your soft, gentle lips

Cannot get enough of mine

We breathe in each other

And lose our sense of time

Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone

We are no longer alone

Body to body

We can’t contain it

And it’s so much more

It’s nothing like

What I’ve had before

Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone

We are no longer alone

Bone to bone

We were crafted,

Each one for the other

Without a doubt

Our lives are tethered

Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone

We are no longer alone

Soul to soul

Each and every thought

And every word spoken

Creates an intimacy

That will not be broken

Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone

We are no longer alone
