Flowers fading

2 Corinthians 2:15

15 Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing.

Fragrance

Flowers loosing petals leaving only dreams behind

Some are still in full bloom in temporal magnificence

Never time to settle in thought of every kind

As permanence of “soon” hangs over their importance

Flowers are reaching now for their day of brilliance

Waiting around the corner are the eyes prepared for beauty

Life seems somehow a repetition of allegiance

That after being dormant explodes in being fruitful

Is my life a fragrance like a flower in life’s duration?

Am I to spread innocence through love and purity?

Could I be a shower of blessing and remove frustration?

That always shows the presence to a confused humanity
