FREEdom

America the Beautiful

America the free

But is that something that we truly are being

Violence fills our minds

Lies crawl under our skin

We our a robotic country that truly cannot win

Day to night

Night to day

We do the same routine

Wishing

Waiting

Wanting

Needing

To do something different

But have no desire to change

We applaud when told

We think the way they want us to think

We follow the rules

We confrom to society

And those who break out of the barrier are called

Freaks

Weirdos

Nobody

Not good enough

Strange

And everything else inbetween

But why should we be made fun of for stepping out of the box

For jumping out of the box

For destorying the box and making a rocket ship

For thinking outside of the box

We are told to be original

But then scolded when we do different

Are we really America the free

Or America the Suppressed?

We stand for what we believe in

And get told to sit down

We our a society that would rather connect to wifi

Than with people who educate us more than our smart phones

Little girls and boys are comparing themselves to sketches of people

Wishing

Waiting

Wanting

Needing

To be told they are beautiful

To be told they can go outside the box

To be told that they can achieve anything they believe

To be told that society is wrong

The little boys and girls are our future doctors

Presidents

Law enforcement

Firefighters

Lawyers

Educators

And what do we do

We plant dark seeds in their soul

We plant dark thoughts in their brain

We plant dark bruises on their skin

We plant dark words in their hearts

Mental health has increased

Paranoia

Depression

Anxiety

Obsession

Pills are shoved down peoples throat instead of kind words

Instead of hugs

Instead of relationships being built

Because the reality is that realtionships are being teared down

Relatinships do not exist

It is messaging

DMing

Poking

Liking

Favoriting

Retweeting

There is no love

There is no need for commitment

There is no need for loyalty

There is no need for faith

There is no freedom

What happened to America the free

What happened to America the beautiful

All that is left is the dirtiness plastered on every street corner

Plastered in every house

Every school

Every hospital

Every day

America is no longer beautiful

America is no longer free
