Frustration

Ecclesiastes 1:18 New English Translation (NET Bible)

18 For with great wisdom comes great frustration;
whoever increases his knowledge merely increases his heartache.

Frustration

You never know what’s next.

Life is full of surprises

It seems the unexpected can

Pop up in many forms

Sometimes in health, what’s best

At times one surmises

As spiritual death, if self-inflicted,

Seem to become the norm

It’s vacation time right now

And surprises should be common

But I guess it’s tough

To get used to forms of death

Our flesh seems too somehow

Feel to get never summoned

To the opposite of life

Almost ignoring this as best

So it goes on head stuck in the sand

Thinking all things are all-right

Studying life around

Through the back-end sticking up

As the leader of the band

Is losing every fight

The flesh seems homeward bound

6 feet under being stuck
