A Funeral

Words can only do so much
But not as good as a touch
I wish everyday you were here
Most now see you in their beer
I guess my biggest fear
Is what you would say about this tear
I will always miss you
But live on in my heart its true
When I need you the most
Is when you are toast
No one is ever ready to see you go
No matter the fight death is the foe
Sadly we saw your end was near
You were everything I hold dear
As the tears begin to fall
In my mind I hear your call
And that's when I realize what people mean
When they say you are gone but never left
