Gift from beyond ...

Proverbs 25:28 “a man without self-control is like a city

broken into and left without walls”

2nd Cor. 10:5 “take every thought captive to obey Christ”

Col. 3:2 “set your mind on the things that are above”

1st Cor. 9:27 “I discipline my body and bring it into subjection”

To esteem the gifts one receives from God really superior

But is inspired by the natural desire ... that roams in us.

The desires are the springs of our many undertakings

And do not always guarantee that godliness directs us.

Possibly quite the opposite can drive us in directions

Where godliness would never go and the natural controls.

The gifts received by God through the super-natural

Get used by us for the proceeds of our own goals.

In the spiritual walk nothing is too small to hinder progress.

Godliness is like love ... entrained in every detail.

He who acts on impulse ... depends on his own strength

And in the impulse actions ... we’re always bound to fail.

Scarcely one is in the Will of God in all the things we do.

God does not take pleasure in the things we do for self.

The Lord’s time is as important ... as His Will is sublime

So do not act rashly and beget an Ismael through ourselves.

Self-justification is a common symptom among emotional Christians.

The Lord wishes His people to commit all matters into His Hands.

He does not like our habits to defend self without submission.

All He wants is obedience and our realization of where we stand.
