The Great Debate

Our greatest weapon of war

is our minds.

They can take our food,

our cars,

our children,

our money,

and even our houses-

They can beat us,

spit on us,

take us within inches of our lives-

BUT no one,

No one,

can take our minds.

This is where justice begins.

This is where transformation begins.

This is where we can change our world.

We are the weapon against all hate.

We are not the sum of our individual parts,

we are the sum of our brothers,

our sisters,

our mothers,

our fathers.

our children,

our friends,

our ancestors,

We are the sum of our history.

What do we choose?

our enslavement?

Or

Our freedom?

Do we choose to hope in and for each other or continue in the death and hate?

Cannot we choose the end of our injustice?

We are controlling each other-

killing each other,

taking the very life we are fight for

from each other.

We are the sum of each other-

when are we going to choose to forgive?

When are we going to choose to live for each other's ancestors, families, pasts, presents, and futures?

When are we gong to agree that your children and my children are our children?  Our only hope, our investement in freedom?  Think about it.  Who was the one who told us we were going to be seperated, judged, and confused?  Nor can I remember.  Why are we still listening?  It's a time to reanalyze our status-quo, a time to come together, a time to choose and act in hope.
