Happy Thoughts Among Lost Hope

Fragrant scents of memories arise

In my mind, I see all our time together

Happy dances before falls arrival

Adoration and passion are combined

Silver lines through the sands of time separate each memory

Snowfalls in my mind

Winter holiday scenes show the joy we once held.

Voiceless songs of gifts received are painted in my mind.

Yet hope and bliss are soon forgotten and summer spreads alone.

Days pace and still I see your face

Taken far too soon from love’s gentle embrace

Our song is over and our melody has been lost within the rain

Tonight, the crescent moon which hangs above delays my joy without your love.

The hush of wind resigns me to my fate.

Kindred souls on dual sides.

Days pass far away and years pass close at hand.

Our time away grows short and together seems so near.

People live quickly, yet death seems far away.

But gone you are and I remain until another day.

Wait for me to leave once more.

I’ll meet you down by the shore.

Daydreams of yonder, make you seem closer than you are.

Heaven’s gates on the morrow is when I’ll see you next.

The lull of night beckons me close

The water takes me in.

I open my eyes and there you are with me once again.
