High on a shelf ... Satire

Deuteronomy 28:27-28

27 The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt

and with tumors, eczema, and scabies, all of which cannot be healed.

28 The Lord will also subject you to madness, blindness, and confusion of mind.

Satire

Let me tell you brother: “Don’t take me for a ride”

I was bought and paid for by my own desires

Why should you even bother and stroke my lack of pride

that I left behind before when I dove into the mire?

Now you say you are part of me so called other self

Well I’ve got good news I don’t even know you

So just let me be stacked on high on my own shelf

for everyone to view in the phrase: “he ain’t got a clue”
