Humpty Dumpty went to a ball

Humpty Dumpty went to a ball

Humpty Dumpty had to go over a wall

to get to the ball

When he climbed the wall,

Going to the ball,

His pocket watch got caught on the wall

Causing him to fall

Humpty Dumpty fell down the wall,

Going to the ball,

Breaking his nose on the fall,

He did not want to go to the ball,

He wanted the Kings horses and men,

To put his nose together again,

But when he called the King's horses and men,

they could not put his nose together again,

they said "we are not doctors"

only horses and men

So Humpty Dumpty did not go to the ball,

He went back over the wall,

And did not fall,

All the King's horses and all the kings men,

wondered why Humpty Dumpty was not at the ball,

and it was soon discovered the story of what happened to Humpty Dumpty,

On the way to the ball,

going over a wall,

which made him fall

So the nursery rhyme we know so well,

then came to be,

The King's horses and the King's men

sang the song at the ball,

and it caught on

"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,

Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,

All the King's horses and all the King's men,

Couldn't put Humpty together again."
