I forgive you

Wed, 11/16/2016 - 23:24 -- at54

You were selfish, you had no mercy.
Don't know why you had to tear me apart.
There I stayed silent, paralyzed, emotionally impaled.
There you stayed proud and with a sense of accomplishment.
There I stayed torn apart into pieces.
The innocence I once had you swallowed it whole.
I wish the earth would do the same to you.
But I remember this is my reality, this happenend to me, you are are still part of my life, you still seem to haunt me.
Yet you feel no sense of guilt that you took away the happiness I once felt.
You got what you wanted.
I would say 'I hate you' but instead I'll say 'thank you'.
I thank you because you made me a stronger individual.
I thank you because you made me fearless,
But I don't thank you for what you did to me.
I still relive that atrocious memory, it's a scar of carry with me.
The way you took advantage of my youth.
The way you didn't care.
The way you left me to perish.
The way you boasted and congratulated yourself.
The way you deteriorated me.
The way you trapped me.
The way you controlled my life.
You can't destroy me anymore.
You can't hurt me anymore.
You can't steal anything from me anymore.
I'm taking my innocence back.
I'm taking my happiness back.
I'm taking my life back.
Because these all belong to me.
No one can rip them apart from me like you did.
I don't agree with what you did to me.
Don't think this is for your sake, I'm doing this for me
I will never forget, but I forgive you.
