If I Had a Wish From a Genie
If I had a wish from a genie,
I would wish for magic.
For there to be mermaids
Fairies and unicorns
Good magicians and evil warlocks
And everyone is on an adventure.
Life would take you to marvelous places.
If I had a wish from a genie,
I would wish that I was magical.
I could be a centaur or harpie
A magpie or sorceress
Either is fine with me
As long as I am magical.
If I had a wish from a genie,
What a world I would make.
Life would be different
And adventurous to even
The lowliest of people
Because fate is waiting
And magic is out there for everyone.
But I don't have a wish from a genie,
And I probably never will.
For deep in my soul crushing
Reality inside me, I know
That I would chose to be
A mundane dreamer
Reading in the corner.
