If Tomorrow Was Yesterday

Sometimes you wonder where time has gone

Feels like yesterday you started learning to ride your bike

But yesterday you started learning how to drive

And the day before that you started high school

And the day before that you started your last day of middle school

You wonder what tomorrow holds

And then tomorrow was yesterday

And yesterday was years ago

But you still wonder about tomorrow

As if tomorrow will never arrive

And the next thing you know

Two hundred tomorrows have past

And you got married

And you had two kids

But your head is still stuck in the clouds

Trying to see tomorrow

And your oldest finished college

And your youngest started high school

But you still wish for tomorrow

As if something better will arrive

But that better already arrived

And then it passed

And then you grow old

And you stop worrying about tomorrow

But you still worry about the time left

And then you wonder

Was it really worth worrying about tomorrow?
