Ignorance is Bliss

Ignorance is bliss
A saying of old
Many believe that this is a story not to be told
The death of a man, no consequence
A child forever gone, no consequence
No one needs to know, for how could one disturb our bliss
How could this be considered bliss?
As old as time itself this has been true
Bliss is that of truth, the truth that is given
Not the lie that is woven for the desire of another
Ignorance is nothing to keep in your heart, for it does nothing but deceive
Nothing more than a deceptive tool, born of dark intentions
Life has lost its value in the in the world
Gone with its humanity
People are ignorant, being fed so as not disturb the balance
The unlawful deaths of man, nothing more than dirt upon the ground
Events of the world as annoying as flies
We are ignorant, the truth no longer in plain view
Woven into the web of lies that gives us “Bliss”
We live by the lies that are told
For nobody can be as bold
To say what must be told
That ignorance is no bliss
