Illuminating

Darkness

i sit in the center

my second hand sister holds my hand and leans her tired head on my shoulder.

i hear and see nothing.

the strum of the strings breaks the silence

bringing life into the room.

slowly

small lights appear

flickering randomly.

i search for one of my own

i cannot reach it.

waterfalls and broken glass seep from my eyes

i heave like the waves

in.

out.

i open my eyes,

a Light grows before my eyes.

It covers me,

Its flames engulfing me

like a blanket.

I can see.

Illuminating
