Immobility

Isaiah 41:10 New English Translation (NET Bible)

10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you! Don’t be frightened, for I am your God!

I strengthen you— yes, I help you—yes, I uphold you with my victorious right hand!

Immobility

Walking in the path of loneliness surrounded by humankind

Business all around me appears like the scenery of the past

In chosen only-ness where through wandering I hope to find

Someone to protect and secure me so that I’ll be found at last

Where to go from here in this murky world of confusion?

Where to point my face with my head down in my hands?

From where is all this fear in my heart and mind’s illusion?

After wandering by self all alone in this barren desert land?

In the state of thought and confusion, I often just hurt myself

If I hide behind my uncertainty, it appears like sinking sand

My mentor then shows me quickly the everlasting “living-well.”

and gives me flexibility through patience that I don’t understand
