After 54 years of marriage I start to get it ... maybe ...

7 In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.

In the early morn … almost similar each day

You appear with a smile or at times with a frown

Imprints of what … it will bring in every way

As I wonder why thoughts are slowing down

Kissing you is special … like the taste of sunshine

Although it seems to flee from what’s considered formal

In your presence with grateful heart that is mine 

Freedom flows from casual towards a gentle normal

A thousand words can’t express the joy I feel at times

As you rehearse your role in an assigned condition

Don’t change I pray as in Christ all is complete and fine

As you are formed to His Goal in a chosen premonition
