Legitimate! What a word ... and to whose interpretation?

Is it mine or is it yours ... or just a state of perception?

The body expects many things ... everything called reasonable.

It claims aloud its rights ... its warmth, its cold ... so seasonable.

On a regular basis it demands food ... drink, sleep and comfort

until these things are ruling me and I can’t control their effort.

It builds its own defense ... against what interferes with

comfort, pleasure and the like ... whatever it confers with.

It starts with desires ... or what else it can be called

all the longings and the passions ... and the wants after all.

Some are light and deep ... and some will linger or fade fast.

Some will drive you up the wall and some are sliding past.
