Let Diversity Ring With Freedom

Many years ago in the 1900's,
A group of people stood up
And fought for what they believed.
Fighting for a voice within.

Tired of standing in the background,
Taking all the beatings and heat,
They gather up courage,
And start their battle to be heard.

Leading many to gain rights,
Martin wrote a speech,
That spoke into the very souls,
Of many individuals.

Rosa Parks stood her ground,
Letting herself be arrested,
Instead of being pushed around.
Now African Americans can sit where they want.

Many boycotts, speeches, and assemblies,
Finally payed off in the end.
Gaining a voice within our community,
And the rights they deserve,
For being humans like the rest of us.
