And I'm so different from you? Please elaborate how.
Your slander and hatred won't bring me down.
My voice was small, suffocated, and drowned out,
but now you'll hear my words if I have to shout.
Rights belong to everyone,
small, tall, gay, or straight,
As a people, we've kept our calm
but truly have every right to be irate.
You should be allowed to marry who you love,
the rights of all kinds of work and grace from above.
I say these words, which will prove to be true,
I may not be straight, but I'm no different than you.
