Dear Ms. Eckford
I loved your dress.
Your hair was fly.
Your shades were classy.
Your walk was fierce.
Dear Ms. Eckford
Were you scared?
Was it like a nightmare?
Did you cry?
Dear Ms. Eckford
You were brave.
You gave hope.
You made history.
Dear Ms. Eckford
What was it like?
There so many of them.
And so little of you.
Dear Ms. Eckford
Was Central High even a good school?
What kept you so strong?
You inspired me.
Dear Ms. Eckford
Thank you for going to school
Thank you for standing tall
Thank you for that day at Little Rock
