All my life has been lived in a shadow.
No one being able to see who I really am.
I would step in front only to have man push me back.
Nothing seem to be able to be done.
The more I fought to get in front.
The more man would push me back.
Finally, I had my shot; no one could stop me now.
The shadow was gone and down for the count.
Man could not put the shadow back.
I took my shot and away I ran.
For once, I had the will to stand
I took the shot and never looked back.
I believed I would stand in front of the shadow for good
And I did!
