"Living" without

2 Corinthians 4:12-13

12 As a result, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

13 But since we have the same spirit of faith as that shown in what has been written,

“I believed; therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak.

Thanksgiving abounds … Glory to God … this is what life is about.

Somewhere along … going astray … losing all my clout

Gratitude instilled … from the day I was born … should be the fruit in my life.

The will to do right … is forlorn intertwined … in constant strife.

Purpose and call … written so clear … in conscience’s feeble start

Often ignored up … to the point … of a hardened heart.

Even too late … to clean the slate … as desires still appear

Living for self … in blindness engulfed … driven by our fears.

Coming along … with bruises from falls … accepted as life itself.

Reaped what was sown … despising the fruit … blaming someone else.

Uncertain and bitter … spitting at the good … ungrateful to the end

Proclaiming what’s dead … and we ever sad … as our only friend.
