Locket

My heart is a locket,
Full of things that I love,
Memories I hold,
Things that define me.
My heart is the place
Where I worry and I wait
Where I live and I love
Where I long and I flee.
My heart is a locket
And Christ holds the key.
The memories of my life,
The pictures in my heart,
The moments that were good
Or that tore me apart
Christ opens them up
And takes them all out
Clearing the locket
Of fear and of doubt
He puts His picture on my heart
Puts His scars in place of my hurt.
He opens me up and sets me free
So now when another sees the locket,
They see the love and peace of Christ,
And no longer see me.
