Lonely

Sitting in silence, afraid to speak out

Against the bullying they recieve when they walk out of their house.

You call them a cutter...a bleeder...a loser...a freak...

They don't fit in, so you tell them they're weak,

That being different isn't okay or normal.

They're not in style.

They're losers who are out dated.

They cry to themselves because no one understands.

Sit alone and ignore the world when given the chance.

They each have a story as to why they are the way they are,

But no one gives them the time of day to tell it.

So they're stuck telling it to themselves over and over again.

They find reliefe in pain because it's the only thing that won't judge them.

They're left alone to their thoughts of dread,

Not knowing what the sunlight will bring.

More hateful words?

Another day of being shoved aside?

Or will the find a hand to help them out from where they hide?

So before you go judging someone by the scars they wear...

By the clothes they put on...

By the walk that they have...

By the words that they say and the way that they feel...

STOP AND THINK!

What's their story?

What's going on?

Are they acting this way because they need a shoulder to cry on?

Maybe their lonely.

Maybe their scared.

You won't know unless you take the time to ask them.

Step into their shoes and remember this...

Don't be a bully when you don't know their story...
