The Long Road

I start near the forest of trees

Traveling down a long road ahead

I get on my knees

And look at my shed

The wind is like a little stream

It blows me around

Mixing my thoughts and words

I remember I had a crown, and I was safe and sound

I start down a straight road with no turns

Renown

I hope I am on the right path

A rigorous road to recovery

I continue down the path of God's wrath

Hoping for a new discovery

As the pebbles follow me

I remember all my lost memories

That creep, crawl, and plea at my feet

Someday they will seize victory

I see a glimmer of hope

At the end of the road

My heart and mind stay a float

As I am told life's long code

The road gets short

As the iridescent light is here

I see heaven's fort

I know the end is near

I wish to say goodbye

But now I have the leave

To the sky

To unlock heaven's gate with my key
