Loose Leaf Sea

A sea of white

Vast and deep

Hiding the secrets that lie beneath

Left alone, it's quiet and still

It hungers for the ink to spill

Just seize the pen to take a dive

The first touch brings the sea to life

The pen unearths a thousand joys

Swimming to laughter of girls and boys

The sea unearths a thousand sorrows

Lurking with pain to strong to swallow

There's love, there's hate, there's long-gone days

All must surface to color the waves

The sea shows all

Be it kisses or tears

The sea shows all

Be it triumphs or fears

When you've given the sea all it can take

On the next page, a blank sea awaits
