Love Sonnet

Sun, 04/07/2013 - 01:26 -- Pegasus

Shall I compare you to the Beast?
A human soul contained in furs.
A creature that devours at a feast
And runs through fields, all covered with burrs.

Most people judge you on your complexion,
Their stares often make you growl.
So they treat you with rejection,
Thinking that you are on the prowl.

Like Beauty in the tale so often told,
I see through your wild exterior;
I look upon your heart of gold
Hidden in your soul’s interior.

My love for you will break the curse, so that near and far,
The world will finally see the prince you really are.
