Maintaining

I've got a weight on my back

And it's been there for some time

Education reform is what I would attack

Ensuring an education for every child, is the pursuit I must climb.

Back in Brazil, I can remember it very clear

There was a maid, in my host mom's apartment

She would work hours on end, oh how she was sincere

I gave her son my used laptop, feeling so ardent.

Good intentions overflow

Wish all young children could be treated this way

The chance to have a bright future, let opporuntity grow

And in the end of our lives, we can say no child was led astray.

As I continue through the course of my life

Everyday, I discover new ways to fight for their education strife.
