Master of Poetry

A million serenades can be sung,

And none of them requited.

A thousand verses can be rapped,

And never be in spirit.

Life is about the performance,

And in that resides the test.

But very few know how best to craft,

So of them, life gets the best.

It starts with the art of the poem,

Which I know inside and out.

Each haiku, soliloquy, and freestyle verse,

Are first thought carefully about.

I write my lines and tweak my words,

To find what flows most smoothly.

I present, and find what reaches my ears,

Is the awe of a leader to be.

My plan, to wit in ink,

Can be rivaled by no other.

And before the world has time to think,

My poems inspire another!

Cryptic, lucid, or iamb poems,

I have mastered them all.

And with its timeless preparation,

My art, the poem, never falls.
