Max Valentine

Oh Max,

You poor dear-

I wish all were well for you!

Nevertheless, you claim it’s irrelevant-

Eventually all bad things come to an end.

Believe me, my dear, there will be good things soon-

I know there must be-

You are kind and sweet,

I value our friendship-

And I wish there was something I could do to cheer you up

But I’m well aware it’s not that simple

Words and greetings can only do so much,

Still I hope and pray that this meek little valentine can bring some light to your dark day!

My dear, you are strong, and you will get through-

I’m here to help!

You’re in my thoughts and prayers-

Just keep on.

Despite it all, I sincerely wish you a happy Valentines day!

Sincerely, Ravyn LaRue

It's funny how the things you mean to be so personal still somehow become open to interpretation. Reading this piece, though I'm sure it is meant for someone else, reminded me of my best friend- who, ironically, is also named Max. Because of this your words touched home for me because these are things I wish for him as well. I hope this little Valentine's really did bring a smile to your Max's face, because it sure did bring one to mine. Thank you for sharing this.

Rebecca
