In Memoriam

Oh, how I wish to die a white man.

My sins forgotten, my legacy cemented

"Kind" "Decent" "Civil" "Honest"

To die a white man is to die a hero no matter what you do.

Black bodies litter the street.

Their humanity decimated by bigotry and a silver bullet

Their bodies put on display only to eventually be thrown away

Their names quickly forgotten.

This is a story of the funerals no one remembers

Of the sould who are left burdened by the constant miscarriage of justice

The never ending feelings of greif played on a constant loop.

Black lives reduced to what they could have been instead of what they should have become.

Swallowed up by the not so mystery plague that no one wants to name these 6 foot plots have become mass graves
