Mine

Location

Spring had sprung,

I was on the run.

Looking for something,

Searching for someone.

Your eyes met mine,

Like the freeze of time.

In that defining moment,

I decided you'd be mine.

We were just the same,

In every fashion and way.

Effortlessly breaking my guards,

You pushed through my gates.

Time quickly passed me by,

I never questioned, asked why.

Soon, so soon, I loved you.

Trusted you'd never make me cry.

Maybe it was wrong to say,

I said I love you anyway.

Unsure of your reaction,

I turned the other way.

I played it off as nothing,

Even though it was something,

I didn't want to lose you,

Because you're my everything.
