Mirror ... Mirror

2 Peter 1:8-9

The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.

Am I the cause of the problem or just the effect of it?

Am I a continuation of both in my mixed-up way of choice?

Do I know the better and always loose the best of it?

Being clothed in frustration with complaints the long lost voice?

Is depravity hailed as success and its fruits dressed up as desert?

Am I slobbering through my meals so I can get quickly to it?

Is that why second best rules the world and leaves it in a mess

As I and me live by how we feel and “create” most all of this?

Now blindness is the way we see ... as cane-less we follow our heart?

We’ll wind up deep within ourselves where light has never been

We will decorate it somehow ... with our own selected smarts

As we fill the empty shelves with all the nothingness within
