Moving on

I hold on to pain
From which nothing is gained

Remembering times
When I was trampled down
Down into the ground
Beneath the soil where the bugs lay
Instead of rot, I sought reality

Earth gives life
to the mind and body
Earth helped revive me
However, it cannot remove memories
Memories which remain
and fester in my mind
What an endless bind

How can I let go of anger and sorrow?
After all,
Who knows if anyone has changed
But does that matter?
One must move on for themselves
and be non-dependent on ideas
Ideas of others changing

The time has come to grow
I've learned now, 'you reap what you sow'
Must accept my consequences
For I am not innocent
Far from it
