My Fear

A fear

a fear that had not only taken over the body but had taken over the soul

like pressure against your chest

like a needle straight through your spine

This was a fear i could not flee

to know that your love wasn't at peace with mine

the loyalty was never measured

Yet again i say i could not escape from this fear

it was like stepping bare onto broken glass

a heartache that would continue to last

I could yell and scream yet others could not hear

a silent cry for help

this was as invisible as i felt

A smile as bright as the north star

with a mask that hid all the pain

A fear

a scream for help

yet the soul was willing to forget the heart was still shattered
