My Mother is the Sun

The sun

Placed my tiny body in the comfort of her rays

My outstretched arms embraced her radiance

With a heart of gold she

Watered my feet

fed my soul

And pulled the weeds from the soil that nourished me

From a seedling

I grew into a woman i love

And i can thank no one but the sun

-My mother is the sun
