Need for Humanity

Thu, 03/17/2016 - 12:37 -- Breece

The mistress clicks in floating five inches off the ground

The dog leads the girl strapped in purple Chaco’s with knotted hair

The foreigners travel in their bunch, “not understanding” tax

His altered judgment filled his mind with delusions and contentment

The dental assistant, hands on top her hips, questions fill the room

The black car mechanic with white palms leans worn on his cobalt truck

The elfin man from the trailer park brings rapture to the community with joy like ecstasy

(you would never know he was from the trailer park)

The inexperienced constantly mending fences with amiable words

The twosome connected through compassionate fingertips

The camouflaged man coaching his son to slay and explore

The newborn gripped by the green mother

The adventurer bearing candy bars scampers around the congested parking lot

The weighed down man, palms face up, destitute for a humane hand

(dissimilar to the deprived alcoholic)

The colleagues of decades shout in affectionate tones

The inspired photographer searching for mountains and humanity

Humanity, without it we don't know difference

Humanity, without it we are alone

Humanity, without it we don't know compassion

Humaity, there's nothing more I want
