Nightmare's Disguise

Lost in a world of her own demise,

Trying to hide from prying eyes.

Lost, confused, all on her own.

She hears the knocks but she's not home.

The city's dark, no lights to see by,

Only a light from far in the sky.

This world she created in her dreams,

A world so much better than what it seems.

She can escape if she opens her eyes.

She can remove her nightmare's disguise.

The real world consumed her mind and soul,

Dragged her into a deep, black hole.

Her nightmare's safer than Reality,

A place she no longer wants to be.

So she ran to another place,

Where this pain she would no longer face.

She can no longer open her eyes.

She can no longer remove her nightmare's disguise.

Because of this world, here in the ground she lies.
