Not Everyone is The Same

Calieel Jaheed Muhammad

Name sounds Muslim, Right?

But see to a cop im just another black boy

Not doing nothing with my life

You make judgments you walk past and try to tell my story

But see you’ve never walked a day in my shoes you don’t know my allegory

See the pain I’ve overcame allowed me to grow in many ways

I would be lying if I said I didn’t pray for better days

Moms and pop never seen eye to eye

It was up to me to play the middle guy

I never liked I just wanted them to get along

And one day get back together so we could finally have a home

But now I can say I’ve strengthen from the struggle

I’m finally putting together the pieces of my puzzle

See God has a plan for me and I know it

So I will never give up, I won’t quit

So Calieel Jaheed Muhammad, Who Am I?

Another ambitious black male whose dreams are high
