Not A Kid Anymore

I’m not a kid anymore

My school no longer has a playground

That has a slide as long as the hallway to the door

I’m not a kid anymore

I’m not allowed to take naps

My classes are almost an hour long

PLEASE, send me back!

I’m not a kid anymore

I have to buy my own stuff

What if I want to go to a party

I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE BUS?!

I’m not a kid anymore

This kind of makes me frown

But at least I’m a little closer to making my mama proud

I’m not a kid anymore
