One More Time

And as I look down, I see the blood and tears splattered all over the floor,

Because it seems like every time I try to open it, there is always someone there to close the door.

Even though it’s hard to try and keep your head held high,

The only way that you’ll be able to keep going is when you find your reason why.

And when you discover that, it is amazing what you can do,

As long as you are able to put your past behind you.

It is not easy to let go of everything that you have been through,

And I know that this is advice that is probably nothing new.

And as hard as it is, I know that this is something that is easier said than done,

And you never know if in your family, you are that one.

That one who is going to do something great,

The one who chooses to change their life, and doesn’t leave it to fate.

The one who knows that you can rewrite your own story,

The one who knows that they can raise their hand up in glory.

The one who decides to not listen to anyone when they tell you no,

And when someone tells you you can’t do something, you know it is up to you to give them a

show.

To make them sit back and watch everything that you can achieve,

Because you know that all it takes is for you to be the only one to believe.

To know that anything is possible if you are willing to put in the work that it takes,

And to know that you have to go all in, and take your foot off of the brake.

And to not let what any of them say get in your head,

And to forget all of the words that they said.

You either have to let it go or use it as fuel to feed the fire,

To catapult you to aim a little bit higher.

Do your best to prove all of them wrong,

And to show them that you had it in you all along.
