An open letter to Stress
Dear Stress,
Could you please stop causing emotional duress?
I can't seem to shake you,
No matter what I do.
I've done all that I could to make you go away;
I’ve studied hard, maintained my GPA.
Working diligently through the night,
I find no respite.
Overworked and overreached,
my energy is constantly leached.
Yet you still linger,
like an accusatory finger.
Haven't I done enough?
Will I ever be enough?
Now, could you please go away?
Or do I have to suffer another day?
Sincerely,
Me
