Our Great Shout

Over 200 years have passed since we began to shout,

Desperatly trying to convince the world of our right to be heard.

We have not stopped that shout, yet, at the same time we try to snuff it out.

All because we divide ourselves over one word.

Equality means everything to those who live without it.

Still, the priviledged say we've arrived,

Because they forget

what it feels like to have rights denied.

So we must keep shouting until they cant ignore our voice,

Saying equality is my right and not your choice.
