The Pain A Sister Endures

While I am to travel the vast world before me,

You must be forever bounded to that wretched chair unable to flee.

Every day you are wrongly criticized by my peers for a sickness without a cure,

I never confront them on the topic explaining the pain and suffering I will always endure.

As much as I want to shriek at them and cry for them to stop I am unable.

Simply because they will never understand the meaning of disable.

If there was ever a possibility that I could take your place even though I would lose everything.

Today’s society will never understand the meaning behind sacrifice and what it will bring.
