In the parade

Ecclesiastes 7:29 New English Translation (NET Bible)

29 This alone have I discovered: God made humankind upright,
but they have sought many evil schemes.

Satire

Let me be on a solid ground up to my neck into the mire

Trying to breathe through my mouth so I can’t smell a thing

I’m getting ready for another round to set the world on fire

For causes of the north and south as the bells of hope still ring

East and west were long ago to be assigned to be civilization’s mire

To be flushed into a dimension called by some:” intellectuality”

Since they seem in the know as they travel down the wire

Their world of prevention and its attached habitual banality

Sacrifice the many for the welfare of the few

Much in a man-made parade to destiny in the sunset

If you know any who don’t feel like a fluke

Move them into the shade for they need to be in bed
