The problem ... self

Acts 24:25

25 While Paul was discussing righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment,

Felix became frightened and said, “Go away for now, and when I have an opportunity, I will send for you.”

“T’s the season to be jolly” … Tears are streaming from some faces

Happiness and sorrow woven into a deep embrace

Some eyes smiling, some just hollow in different folks with unlikely cases

But all bound together in an unusual human race

Seemingly it all started in the “Garden” that we left behind so long ago

As the remembrance of it faded throughout generations

Although we received pardon that most seem to understand and know

Few will accept the terms to be delivered from frustration

If we could buy it, this we would, but to accept it as freely given

Seems to run against our “fallen nature” in temporal time

All realize the purpose and fully understand forgiveness

But deep within that obstacle convincing self that all is fine
