puerto rican, not puerto ri-can't

Location

i'm proud to represent the red, white, and blue

but the difference is how many stars

in america, you need 50 states to be special

in puerto rico, all you need is 1

one represent a star that stands on its own

the same way we fight for our independence

every single day

i'm proud to be that one star

the only star that shines in any form of light

yet you have america trying to change it's identity

by claiming it to be a commonwealth

but see, that's a political way of saying

we own this land

you can try to change our way of culture

but you will never change our history

whether you like it or not

we are taino indians

whether you like it or not

we are black

whether you like it or not

we are puerto ricans

it's easy to try to change thingws on the outside

you will never change a puerto rican form the inside

just to crystalize this fact so all can comprehend

i'm puerto rican

and i'm loud and i'm proud
