You think you know me?
You have no clue.
All you see are my smiles,
but you never see the pain.
You think you have me all figured out,
but boy you’re insane.
I won’t let you in.
I won’t let you hurt me.
My heart is safer this way,
because a heart is a little sensitive thing.
It’s easily shattered
and hard to replace.
I’m like a puzzle
hard to solve.
There’s pieces of me scattered everywhere.
It’s up to you whether or not
you want to find those missing pieces
and solve what I am.

This poem represents how no one person can easily be figured out, or summarized in a few words. Every person has layers, and the person they reveal to society can be completely different from the person they actually are. I really love the lines of the poem where you write "There’s pieces of me scattered everywhere. / It’s up to you whether or not / you want to find those missing pieces / and solve what I am" because no person can be taken at face value. Have you ever thought about writing a sequel to this poem- maybe about where all the pieces of the puzzle are located? I think this poem would make a really great video.
