We all make mistakes

We all push the limits

Of what we can take

And let me tell you

It ain’t real

It ain’t fake

We just go our own way

Do what we do

And most people don’t understand

Just what we go through

And they don’t understand

These insanity of things!

Cause people are people

We all make mistakes

 We all went there

Done that

Maybe we shouldn’t have

Because 1 thing leads to another

Weather we’re sister or brother

That 1 place we shouldn’t have went

Because now they don’t talk to you

And you’re confused on what to do

And you ask why the sky is blue

And you think that you can fly

The laws of gravity you can defy

And all you want to do is cry

Cause no matter how hard you try

People are people

There’s so much we can take

Before we just fall apart and break

Just like the girl at the back of the class

Who had to look through 2 pieces of glass

The words that were shouted and screamed

She covered her ears

But those words bleed through

The burden above her head

They told her she was better off dead

Those words that were said

Stuck to her like glue

And she decided to do

The unspeakable thing

And if only they knew

Just what their words could do

Cause that girl grew wings

And flew

All that pain that she hid

Just by all the things that we did

People are people

Some lives that we take

Like that boy behind bars

Cause he took it too far

He didn’t mean to

Just his mama got mad

And things got bad

And all he had left

Was the gun in his hand

And that was the day he went from a boy

To a man

But he just can’t stand

To look at that man

In the mirror

And we’re as people are people

We made those mistakes

Gone the distance

Took what we can take

And these words that I’m saying

No screaming

They may have no meaning

But take a look closer

Cause you may see

How this is me!

And I don’t care if you don’t like what you see

So stop and consider

I don’t judge you by what you seem

So how dare you go and judge me.
